In brief
Lower price to win is the single pricing myth costing service founders 30 - 60% of potential revenue I ran 27 pricing flips with Clients.ai clients (solo founders and tiny teams) - same leads, same traffic. When they ditched hourly and launched 3 packaged offers the results looked like this - close rate 18% up to 26% (+8 points) - avg deal size $1,400 up to $2,250 (+61%) - revenue per lead up ~52% So what to do today, fast - stop quoting hourly.

I ran 27 pricing flips with Clients.ai clients (solo founders and tiny teams) - same leads, same traffic. When they ditched hourly and launched 3 packaged offers the results looked like this
- close rate 18% up to 26% (+8 points)
- avg deal size $1,400 up to $2,250 (+61%)
- revenue per lead up ~52%
So what to do today, fast
- stop quoting hourly. pick the monthly or per-project revenue you want and work backwards
- build 3 packages: low, mid, premium. Price the mid at the value you deliver, low at ~60% of mid, premium at 2x mid
- use anchoring. list premium first (no apology), then mid as recommended. show savings vs list price
Quick template you can paste into ChatGPT to generate tier copy
"Create three service packages for a [niche], target ARPA $2,500, target margin 60%. Give names, 3 bullet benefits each, one-line FAQ answering price justification, and suggested anchor price 2x mid"
If you want, I’ll build a one-page pricing frame for your offers based on your profile and target revenue. I stop what I’m doing for 20 - 30 minutes and send a custom version that you can use on your site or proposal
Like this post then DM SIMPLE PRICING GUIDE and I’ll send yours back within the day
