Founders, I watched this three times

In brief
Founders, I watched this three times. I was on discovery calls, ad reviews, and an onboarding call, and every time the team leaned on the same shiny fixes - They buried the signal under price cuts, vague guarantees, and “automation” that made the right people stop noticing.

Founders, I watched this three times.
I was on discovery calls, ad reviews, and an onboarding call, and every time the team leaned on the same shiny fixes -
They buried the signal under price cuts, vague guarantees, and “automation” that made the right people stop noticing.
Here are 7 ways that shows up (and what it costs):
1) Broad targeting + generic creative - more clicks, fewer real leads.
2) Discount-first offers - you attract price shoppers, not partners.
3) Feature piles in the headline - prospects can’t tell what’ll change for them.
4) Too-many-steps funnels - the right people drop off when trust needs a single clear handshake.
5) Auto-everything demos - you lose warmth; human questions go unanswered.
6) Chasing viral instead of useful content - sparks attention, kills predictability.
7) Relying on third-party metrics (vanity) - you stay busy, not booked.
I didn’t see bad intent in any of these - just the same reflex - treat attention like ownership instead of a signal to follow. The durable move I kept wanting to say in those calls was simple - make your offer easy to recognize for the specific person who pays you, and stop trying to be everything to everyone.
You don’t need more attention. You need clearer signals people can hang their yes on.
