In brief
I know you'll roll your eyes - 7 AM, a Brooklyn café, espresso steam in the air - but this kept showing up - the quiet "handoff" between two stages determined the outcome. 1) Outcome, not task. State the result you expect, not the checklist item.

I know you'll roll your eyes - 7 AM, a Brooklyn café, espresso steam in the air - but this kept showing up - the quiet "handoff" between two stages determined the outcome.
1) Outcome, not task. State the result you expect, not the checklist item.
2) One owner. If two people think they own it, nobody owns it.
3) Pack the decision rules. What to escalate, what to skip, and when to cash the small wins ($3,200/mo lift we tracked after one switch).

4) Signal in-band. A quick comment, a tagged template, a tiny async ritual that everyone reads.
5) Timebox the window. No perpetual drafts - give the receiver a 48-hour handshake and move it forward or back.
6) Measure the tiny money. Track the small dollars that prove the flow works, not the vague "engagement" numbers.
Saw a founder lose a $4k contract once because they CC'd instead of owning it - embarrassing, but fixable. The rule - tidy handoffs win.
