The 72-hour rule works - until it doesn't

In brief
The 72-hour rule works - until it doesn't. I was talking to a founder last week who swears by sending proposals within 72 hours. Her close rate was 40%. Solid. But the pipeline never built. Every win was a one-off hero moment.

I was talking to a founder last week who swears by sending proposals within 72 hours. Her close rate was 40%. Solid. But the pipeline never built. Every win was a one-off hero moment.
Then she told me how contractors work in her industry: ➡️ They bid high ➡️ They go silent ➡️ They get picked when the client is desperate
Same pattern, different world. And it hit me - the 72-hour rule is the contractor's "high bid and wait" move, just repackaged.
Here's the simpler truth:
→ If you respond fast, you look eager
→ If you respond on your terms, you look in demand
→ If you send a proposal without a container, you're handing over leverage
The move that works - send a one-pager first. A structure. A "here's how we'd work together" doc. Let the proposal come after they say yes to the container.
It's not about speed. It's about making them choose you, not pick you.
DM me "SALES FLOW CHECKLIST" and I'll send you our one-pager template that flips the whole dynamic.
