Raising your price rarely stops people from ghosting you - it usually just moves the blame from your funnel to your wallet. I used to assume “no” meant price. Turns out most solos I work with are misattributing the loss. They change numbers when they should change where the risk sits and how value is framed. Before vs after - what actually changes the close rate\n- Before: you think price is the leak so you discount, or add features, or panic-raise testimonials. Results: churny clients, shorter conversations, less margin. - After: you test attribution - was the prospect actually unsure about outcome, timing, or risk? You shift one small thing and bookings go up without lowering price. Three quick things you can do right now (do them in 48 hours):\n1) Track the moment a lead hesitates. Is it during pricing, during case studies, or when you ask for calendar time? Note exact message or page they saw. (I ask clients to highlight the exact line or screenshot.) 2) Remove risk instead of price: offer a 14-day trial, a result-focused guarantee, or a tiny paid pilot with obvious ROI. Don’t rearrange the price - change who carries the risk. 3) Phrase the outcome before the price. Three short lines on the page that say what they get, why it’s safe, then the price. Test that against price-first messaging. A tiny example: last Tuesday I looked at a coach doing 127 sales calls with a 4% close. We flipped the email sequence to lead with a one-week “pilot outcome” (not a discount). Close rate jumped to 17% in 10 days. Same price, less chasing, better clients. Here’s a prompt you can paste into ChatGPT to make the exact experiment copy your site needs: “Write 3 short email variants that turn a discovery call into a 7-day paid pilot offer. Audience: solo founder selling strategy calls. Keep benefit-first, reduce perceived risk, 2-3 sentences each.” Use the variants as A/B tests. If you want me to look at your funnel and point to the exact place you’re misattributing loss, I’ll have my team at Clients.ai carve out 20-30 minutes and build a private, bite-sized audit tuned to your funnel (no generic checklist, actual notes you can use). Tap like and DM PRICE CLARITY AUDIT in all caps and I’ll get it started for you. #PricingStrategy #ClientsAI #FounderAdvice #SaaSGrowth
