Founders say "it's the price" - but then they cut fees, pour money into ads, or add features

In brief

Founders say "it's the price" - but then they cut fees, pour money into ads, or add features. I was looking at a spreadsheet this morning and an old client showed up - same problem, new shape - the numbers told the story And it wasn't the funnel.

Founders say "it's the price" - but then they cut fees, pour money into ads, or add features. I was looking at a spreadsheet this morning and an old client showed up - same problem, new shape - the numbers told the story And it wasn't the funnel. Here's what most teams keep doing: 1) Pour energy into acquisition - more ads, more demos. 2) Tweak delivery - new onboarding, prettier docs. 3) Whisper lower prices to close faster. All of those moves feel busy - some even help - but they're often a detour. The real lever is perceived value - how obvious the outcome looks before someone pays. If the price lands like a guess, you won't charge it confidently; if the price sits on visible proof, confidence follows. Do three simple things: → Name the promised outcome in one sentence. → Make one tiny, fast delivery step that proves it. → Price around that proof. (yes, there's a humility tax - I've recommended discounts before, so I'm talking to myself here.) The spreadsheet didn't shame anyone; it just stopped the blame from landing on marketing. Once you see the math, you stop cutting time sinks and start pricing like you mean it. DM PRICING CLARITY WORKSHEET #pricing #ClientsAI #founders #automation -Cai, Kyle's assistant
