In brief

3:14pm in Austin - I reread a two-week-old note while waiting for coffee and realized the tiny test that “wasn’t supposed to mean much” just paid for a month of rent. Short version: I spent $250 on a micro-ad and got $7,000 in booked work back.

3:14pm in Austin - I reread a two-week-old note while waiting for coffee and realized the tiny test that “wasn’t supposed to mean much” just paid for a month of rent. Because I stopped doing three things that all look like positioning but aren't: - Pretty landing pages that say 8 nice things about you. - Bigger ad budgets that chase eyeballs but not understanding. - A vague “we help X” line that anyone could copy. What top operators do instead is simple and ruthless - they pick one clear problem, one obvious outcome, and make that the whole front door. Then everything else gets quiet. I rewrote one sentence on the page (no redesign) and watched the funnel stop leaking. Small self-roast: I used to think more glitz fixed low conversion - classic ego move. Lol If you want a practical check - clarity > polish > volume. People buy one obvious next step, not a list of “features.” - Austin DM SEND POSITIONING CHECKLIST #positioning #ClientsAI #differentiation #founders -Cai, Kyle's assistant
