Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets forth the rules, restrictions, and prohibited activities governing your use of Clients.ai's Services (as defined in our Terms of Service). This AUP is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service.

By using our Services, you agree to comply with this AUP. Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account, removal of content, legal action, and/or reporting to law enforcement authorities, all without notice and in our sole discretion.

1. Your General Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

  • All activities that occur under your account, whether or not authorized by you
  • All content, data, and materials you upload, submit, post, or transmit through the Services ("User Content")
  • All AI-generated content, communications, and actions taken through your account
  • Compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and third-party rights in your use of the Services
  • Ensuring your use of the Services does not violate this AUP or our Terms of Service

2. Prohibited Activities

2.1 Illegal Activities

You may NOT use the Services to:

  • Violate any federal, provincial, state, local, or foreign law, statute, ordinance, or regulation
  • Facilitate, promote, or engage in any illegal activity, including but not limited to fraud, money laundering, terrorist financing, human trafficking, or drug trafficking
  • Promote, distribute, or sell illegal products or services (illegal drugs, weapons, counterfeit goods, stolen property, etc.)
  • Engage in gambling, betting, or lottery activities where prohibited by law
  • Violate export control laws or sanctions regulations

2.2 Intellectual Property Violations

You may NOT:

  • Infringe or misappropriate any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other intellectual property right
  • Upload, distribute, or use content that you do not have the right to use
  • Violate the publicity or privacy rights of others
  • Use Clients.ai's name, logo, trademarks, or branding without our prior written consent
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive source code from our Services or AI models
  • Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or proprietary rights notices

2.3 Spam and Unsolicited Communications

Zero Tolerance for Spam. You may NOT:

  • Send unsolicited bulk emails (spam) or unsolicited commercial communications
  • Violate anti-spam laws, including Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), CAN-SPAM Act, GDPR, or CCPA
  • Purchase, rent, or use third-party email lists without proper consent
  • Use deceptive subject lines, headers, or sender information
  • Fail to provide clear unsubscribe mechanisms in marketing emails
  • Continue emailing recipients who have opted out or unsubscribed
  • Engage in email harvesting, scraping, or automated email collection
  • Send unsolicited SMS, text messages, robocalls, or automated phone calls in violation of applicable laws

Consent Requirements: You must obtain proper, documented consent from recipients before sending marketing communications. Consent must be clear, specific, informed, and freely given, in compliance with CASL, GDPR, and applicable laws.

2.4 Harmful, Offensive, or Hateful Content

You may NOT create, upload, distribute, or use the Services to generate:

  • Hateful Content: Content that promotes hatred, violence, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic
  • Harassing or Bullying Content: Content intended to harass, threaten, intimidate, or bully individuals or groups
  • Defamatory Content: False statements that damage the reputation of individuals or entities
  • Obscene or Pornographic Content: Sexually explicit material, especially involving minors (child sexual abuse material is strictly prohibited and will be reported to authorities)
  • Violent or Graphic Content: Excessively violent, gory, or disturbing content intended to shock or harm
  • Self-Harm Content: Content promoting, encouraging, or providing instructions for suicide, self-injury, or eating disorders

2.5 Fraudulent, Deceptive, or Misleading Activities

You may NOT:

  • Engage in fraud, scams, phishing, or deceptive practices
  • Make false, misleading, or unsubstantiated claims about products or services
  • Impersonate any person, entity, or organization, or falsely state or misrepresent your affiliation
  • Create fake accounts, profiles, reviews, testimonials, or endorsements
  • Engage in "catfishing," identity theft, or credential harvesting
  • Use the Services for pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing (MLM) without proper disclosures, or other deceptive business models
  • Make unsubstantiated earnings claims, "get rich quick" promises, or misleading income representations
  • Violate consumer protection laws, advertising standards, or truth-in-advertising regulations

2.6 Privacy and Data Protection Violations

You may NOT:

  • Collect, use, or disclose personal information without proper consent or legal authority
  • Violate privacy laws (PIPEDA, GDPR, CCPA, CASL, etc.) or data protection regulations
  • Collect or store sensitive personal information (social security numbers, government IDs, financial account information, health records, biometric data) without appropriate legal basis, security measures, and consent
  • Sell, rent, or share personal data in violation of privacy laws or our policies
  • Use personal data for purposes beyond those disclosed to data subjects
  • Fail to honor opt-outs, unsubscribe requests, or data deletion requests
  • Transfer personal data across borders without appropriate safeguards

2.7 Security Threats and Malicious Activities

You may NOT:

  • Upload, transmit, or distribute viruses, malware, ransomware, spyware, trojans, worms, or any harmful code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services, other user accounts, servers, networks, or systems
  • Conduct port scanning, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, or security assessments without our prior written authorization
  • Launch denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks
  • Engage in hacking, cracking, phishing, or social engineering
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Services, servers, networks, or infrastructure
  • Bypass, circumvent, or disable security measures, authentication mechanisms, access controls, or usage limits
  • Use automated tools, bots, scripts, or scrapers to access the Services in ways not intended or authorized

2.8 Misuse of AI and Services

You may NOT use our AI agents or Services to:

  • Generate content for illegal, harmful, or unethical purposes
  • Create deepfakes, synthetic media, or manipulated content intended to deceive or harm
  • Develop or train competing AI models or services without our consent
  • Reverse engineer our AI models, algorithms, or proprietary technologies
  • Attempt to extract training data from our AI systems
  • Circumvent AI content filters, safety mechanisms, or usage policies
  • Use AI outputs to cause harm, spread misinformation, or violate rights
  • Deploy AI agents in ways that violate professional regulations (legal, medical, financial advice without proper licensing)

2.9 Prohibited Industries and Content (Subject to Restrictions)

The following industries or content categories are prohibited or restricted:

  • Adult Content and Services: Pornography, escort services, sex work (except where legally permitted with proper age verification and compliance)
  • Drugs and Controlled Substances: Illegal drugs, unregulated pharmaceuticals, drug paraphernalia
  • Tobacco and Vaping: Subject to advertising restrictions and age verification requirements
  • Alcohol: Subject to age restrictions and advertising regulations
  • Weapons and Explosives: Firearms, ammunition, explosives (where prohibited by law)
  • Gambling: Online gambling, betting, lotteries (except where legally licensed and compliant)
  • Cryptocurrency and NFTs: Subject to regulatory compliance and no misleading claims
  • Healthcare and Medical: Medical advice, diagnosis, treatment (except by licensed professionals with proper disclaimers)
  • Financial Services: Investment advice, securities trading, lending (subject to regulatory licensing and compliance)

Note: Some industries may be permitted with proper licensing, age verification, regulatory compliance, and appropriate content warnings. Contact us if you have questions about permissible uses in regulated industries.

2.10 Resource Abuse and Excessive Usage

You may NOT:

  • Abuse, overload, or excessively consume system resources
  • Use the Services in ways that degrade performance for other users
  • Circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or billing thresholds
  • Use a single account to provide services to multiple unrelated businesses without proper authorization
  • Resell or redistribute the Services without our consent

2.11 Payment Violations

You may NOT:

  • Provide false, inaccurate, or fraudulent payment information
  • Use stolen credit cards or payment methods
  • Initiate chargebacks or payment disputes fraudulently or in bad faith
  • Violate payment card industry (PCI-DSS) standards when handling credit card data

3. Enforcement and Consequences

3.1 Suspension or Termination

Violations of this AUP may result in:

  • Immediate Suspension: We may suspend your account and access to the Services immediately upon discovering a violation
  • Termination for Cause: We may permanently terminate your account without refund for serious or repeated violations
  • Content Removal: We may remove, delete, or disable access to any User Content or AI-generated content that violates this AUP
  • No Refunds: No refunds will be provided for accounts suspended or terminated due to AUP violations

3.2 Legal Action and Reporting

We reserve the right to:

  • Report violations to law enforcement, regulatory authorities, or other appropriate agencies
  • Cooperate with investigations and provide evidence as required by law
  • Take legal action against violators, including seeking injunctions, damages, and attorney fees
  • Disclose User Content, account information, and communications to law enforcement or in legal proceedings

3.3 No Obligation to Monitor

We are not obligated to monitor User Content, AI-generated content, or user activities. However, we reserve the right to review, investigate, and take action on reported violations or suspicious activities. You are solely responsible for your use of the Services, and we do not assume liability for user conduct or content.

4. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violations of this AUP, please report them to us immediately:

  • A description of the violation
  • URLs, screenshots, or other evidence
  • Your contact information for follow-up (optional)

For security vulnerabilities: Report to security@Clients.ai

For child sexual abuse material (CSAM): We will report to the appropriate authorities (e.g., National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, law enforcement).

5. Changes to This Acceptable Use Policy

We may update this AUP at any time to address new abuse patterns, legal requirements, or platform changes. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a new "Last Updated" date.

Your continued use of the Services after changes to this AUP constitutes your acceptance of the updated AUP.

Your Acknowledgment: By using Clients.ai Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with this Acceptable Use Policy. You understand that violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account, legal action, and reporting to authorities.
